Significance of Marx and Lenin in 21st century
Right after the downfall of United States of Soviet Russia the disintegrated capitalist powers of world had begun to unite. They resumed their age long practise of class exploitation. India once again became the subject to capitalist inhumane exploitation. Four hundred years of servility to the British empire started alluring the capitalist forces to feed on Indian blood and resources. As we all know about the divide and rule policy that has been implemented by the British Raj to disintegrate resisting forces. However Soviet and Vietnam was enough to dismantle the parasitic attire of Imperialist forces but downfall of Soviet anticipated class oppression once more. Age long invasion and infiltration policies by the capitalist superpowers is definitely not going to work anymore hence they formulated another method to rejuvenate class suppression and that is through Globalisation. It is the invisible fangs of imperialist power that enables them to feed upon under developed nations. While another important factor to propagate imperialist exploitation is Terrorism which has been created and still now being nurtured by the imperialist class and in the name of anti terror movements they ensure their lap dog governments in those states while they could carry on with their inhumane exploitation of resources. Have we ever realised that a remarkable population of US and Israel works in the industries of arms and ammunitions and a world without violence and terror would definitely end up in enhancement of unemployment in those self proclaimed developed nations. Have we ever thought that since 9/11 there has not been a single terrorist attack on US while the entire world is stigmatised with it. Since 9/11 there has been questions that how come WTC giving refuge to the servers of all International economic institutions did not collapse with it? How could those institutions prosper rather flourish while their brains has been collapsed alongwith WTC? The common people (read proletariats) had always been kept aside from this questions.
Our natural and human resources are at stake due to pro capitalist economic structures. I often come across people blabbering about their patriotic feelings which are mainly evoked at the eves of Independence day or Republic day but they are dumb enough to feel the vulnerability of our future generations. I believe its the duty and responsibility of each and every students to enrich themselves with the history of class struggle. We often keeps on complaining about the growing murders and violence around us but have we ever tried to realize that this is an age old phenomenon that is deep rooted in mankind since the dawn of human civilization. Since the origination of capital (perhaps not in the form of money) violence is an integral part of mankind over the possession of it. If we go through the history of evolution and the development of mankind we will get to see that the first capital was formed when primitive men invented fire. It was the possession of that fire over which promoted violence amongst different clans. Violence over possession of fire however reduced when most of the clans learnt to lit fire themselves thus increasing availability of this resource but by then other object started alluring the primitive instincts and they began fighting for them. With the gradual passage of time and scientific and economic developments however instigated proper utilisation and allocation of resources and substitute resources. Hence the cause for violence also got shifted from time to time.
Human beings had underwent a drastic social and psychological evolution leading to origination of paid terror. PCPA chief Chhatrodhar Mahato had an insurance of 1 crore rupees while he claims himself as a leader of proletariats. There are several instances from national to international through which I can substantiate my stand on paid terrorism. Imperialism can never be restricted with any rules of humanity neither can we expect pity from them as all they are concerned about is generation of surplus value of labour at the cost of labours struggling hard against their destinies and with the burdens with which they have been bestowed by the capitalist structures of economy. The only way to put a check on this inhumane practises is to equip ourselves with the teachings of Marx and Lenin as they provide protective shield against imperialist suppression. It teaches us to logically defend pro-capitalist stands of any government and to rejuvenate mass towards establishment of a better society.
However Karl Marx and Vladimir Ulyanov Lenin together accentuated and resolved the then atrocities faced by the working class of that time. Their assessment on the characteristics of the bourgeoisie class needs modification as in today’s world generation of capital is not restricted within industries or invasions. Rather Marx or Lenin were unaware about capital transactions through Insurance policies which is also a form of capital generation. A large number of industries are set ablaze by their owners to claim insurance which helps in accumulation of consolidated capital. Religion in 21st centuries is also a form of capital generation. A large amount of capital is generated across the word in the name of religion which has not been defined in any of the writings by Marx or Lenin. Capitalists are inclined to transform a part of the proletariats to petty bourgeoisie who can easily be assimilated into the capitalist structures thus disintegrating proletariat class. Proletariats plays the most active role in communist struggle as they are the one without any possession which they fear to lose while on the other side petit bourgeoisie always seek for security in order to sustain all they have achieved (rather bestowed by the imperialist class in the form of alms) and simultaneously dreaming on being a part of capitalist structure of economy. Pro Imperialist education system allures and encourages these kind of dreams. Human beings are always characterised by unlimited wants and capitalist forces are banking upon this instinctive nature of mankind to disintegrate their opposing forces, the communist forces. Recently I came across an article stating a song by Vaidyanath Mishra adoringly remembered as Nagarjun Baba where he sings “Burjuaazi ne chirak diya... khao ...khao... aur lado maro...!” (The bourgeoisie has thrown shit and you all eat and die over it...).
This is the situation of the struggling working class who has been transformed to petit bourgeoisie at the cost of betrayal against their own motherland and the natives there. Even their attitude is like “am doing fine why should I be concerned about those starving people? I made my way to this place through lot of hardships and now I’m reaping the seeds of which I did sow since my kindergarten days”. But they are morally ignorant about their class history. They are unaware about the professions and lives of their forefathers. Even if they claim themselves to be selfish then I assert that still they are ignorant about all that they deserve and what they are getting instead. A professional working in corporate sector, humming to the tunes of Dylan and Lennon regards communism as a mere political party for the under profile workers and only in order to distinguish themselves from those under profile workers they finds vanity in criticising communist movements and tries to set this practice as a trend. Due to these benighted portion of proletariat class - socialist movement is getting hindered hence it is the duty of every communists and communist sympathisers to make these class aware about the teachings of Marx and Lenin and simultaneously a critical analysis and necessary additions to the teachings of Marx, Engles, and Lenin is awaiting which includes resistant to all mean machines of class exploitation. Mao-Dze-Dong once stated that “the tiger is still weeping in captivation and is waiting to set himself free from entanglement”. The world is waiting for the tiger to set himself free from captivity, let the world witness the awakening proletariats striding towards socialism. The day is not far when the imperialists will sing “Proletariat ji ne chirak diya... khao ... khao... aur lado maro...” (the proletariats had thrown shit on us, lets eat and die over it).
